When you get bored with your wardrobe– do you spice it up with some bright colors? Need a little energetic boost in your day? When I am feeling like I want to shine a bit more I throw on some brighter colors for the day and the same can be said for thIMG_3283e foods we eat.

Foods of different colors have different energetic qualities — so when you eat certain foods they have an effect on you. Adding variety of colors to your meals brings in lots of great energy and brightness to your day. This salad is filled with color and has the following:

  • Shredded carrots
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Chopped green beans
  • Sliced radishes
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Chickpeas
  • Olives

For a simple dressing— drizzle olive oil, lemon juice, salt/pepper to taste— add a little balsamic for a richer flavor.
